Superintendent of Gaylord Community Schools

The Gaylord Community Schools Board of Education is seeking a dynamic educational leader to become their next superintendent of schools. The current superintendent is retiring after 3 successful years with the district. The Board and superintendent have worked as an effective team to create a culture of accomplishments for students and the community which they wish to continue.

Gaylord Community Schools educates nearly 3,000 students in five buildings: North Ohio Elementary School (K-3), South Maple Elementary School (K-3), Gaylord Intermediate School (4-6), Gaylord Middle School (7-8) and Gaylord High School (9-12).

Salary and Contract Information
The Board has established a base salary range of $140,000 - $150,000; negotiated salary and benefits package will be commensurate with the chosen candidate’s experience and qualifications.

After garnering stakeholder input, the Board of Education will provide a detailed profile of the ideal candidate. This detailed profile will be posted on or about October 14, 2025. Candidates may wish to wait until after the profile is published to finalize their application. Interested candidates should complete and submit an online application found at https://masb.myrevelus.com/.
Completed online applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. No “hard copy” fax or email copies accepted. IF requested by the candidate, materials will be treated confidentially through the screening process. Candidate names will become public at the time an interview is scheduled.

Key dates for the selection process include:
Friday, January 16, 2026 @ 10 a.m. – Closing date for position

Monday, January 26, 2026 – Board of Education to select candidates for interviews

First Round Interviews: Tuesday, February 10, 2026 and Wednesday, February 11, 2026

Second Round Interviews: Tuesday, February 17, 2026
 

The Board would like the successful candidate to begin his/her employment July 1, 2026.
