Notes

The Board of Education for Morley Stanwood Community Schools District is in search of a new superintendent. This is only the preliminary posting; a detailed profile of the ideal candidate will be added at a later date. We encourage interested applicants to refrain from applying until the profile is posted.

Morley Stanwood Community Schools offers two primary buildings located on the same campus.  Within one location, the elementary school provides space for early education programming through fifth grade. The middle/high school building offers instructional space for those in grades sixth through twelfth grades.  Morley Stanwood Community Schools successfully passed a bond in 2020 which has offered the ability to perform several upgrades to our school grounds. In the past few years, we have created and updated new parking lots with lighting, updated the elementary school windows, hallways, and gymnasium, added classrooms in both buildings, and there are many more upgrades planned.  We are currently in the planning stage of the fourth stage (of five) for this bond series.  Historically, Morley and Stanwood each had their own elementary school.  In 2012 the decision was made to consolidate.  The Morley Elementary School now serves as a community center and is rented (current 30 year lease) for these purposes.  The Stanwood Elementary School has been repurposed as an Early Childhood Learning Center and provides early childhood services through the local MOISD, and Great Start Readiness, as well as a portion of the building being rented out to a local daycare operation for after school activities.
