The Avondale Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent to begin work on July 1, 2026. The Board is assisted in the search by the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB).

Avondale is located Oakland County, serving parts of Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Troy, and Bloomfield Township. The district offices and high school are in Auburn Hills. Avondale prides itself as a wonderful community for people to live, work, and play. The School District serves 4,829 students with a budget of $72,650,000. Avondale is an inclusive and diverse community, striving to create a culture where every voice is heard, respected, and valued. They believe success isn't just about academic achievement; it's about personal growth, resilience, and self-discovery. They are truly a district where every student matters and every story counts.

The Board of Education of Avondale Schools seeks a superintendent who is a strong leader, has strong financial skills, and will be an effective communicator with staff and community. The educational leader will actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals. The new Superintendent should be an instructional leader and a creative problem solver.
