The Woodhaven-Brownstown Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent to begin work on July 1, 2026. The Board is assisted in the search by the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB).

Woodhaven-Brownstown is located in southern Wayne County, Michigan. The community offers a warm, engaging atmosphere that attracts residents and visitors alike. The School District serves 5411 students with a budget of $76,760,000. The District recently created a Strategic Plan for 2024- 26 which includes goals of LEARNING including cultivating academic excellence, offering programs beyond the core, and developing resilient, empathetic and well-rounded individuals; Creating safe and secure EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS including expanding state of the art facilities that are accessible, flexible, and inclusive; and EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND WELL-BEING including employee growth, recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent, providing high quality professional development, and growing a supportive, positive, and caring workforce. The Board of Education of Woodhaven-Brownstown Schools seeks a superintendent who is a strong leader, has strong financial skills, and will be an effective communicator with staff and community. The educational leader will actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals. The new Superintendent should be an instructional leader and a creative problem solver. This educational leader should be friendly, honest, and ethical.

Salary and Contract Information:  The District will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary range $190,000 to $215,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next Superintendent.
